Based on the potential capabilities and their interest, several of the students under supervision of Prof. Ghodsi decided to have a weekly sessions to consider applications of theoretical concepts to internet practices. These sessions have been started since fall semester of 1381. Firstly, it composed of computational geometry related topics. Then internet specific concepts that mainly focus on web structures and web search emerged. In this sessions, that hold weekly, in each week one of the students talk about a previously approved topic. The topics are closely related to the lecture research area and may lead to some useful feedbacks. Currently, our sessions will be about computational geometry, internet algorithms, game theory and streaming algorithms periodically. We will schedule the concepts for at least one month in advance. Contributing in this sessions is free for other students and just the capacity of the session room may limits it. However, it is necessary for contributors to talk about some topics based on the schedule and their preparation.
